Our Story

Atolea is an ocean-inspired waterproof jewelry brand inspired by our love for the ocean and its marine life. Since our inception in 2020, we've built an incredible community of Ocean Lovers who wear proudly their beach-inspired jewelry all around the world.

As outdoor enthusiasts who love participating in water activities, we are always on the lookout for high-quality but affordable jewelry that we can wear all the time without worrying about it getting tarnished. 

So, we decided to focus on creating 100% waterproof and high-quality jewelry, without breaking the bank. We spent months researching materials and designs, and eventually discovered a technique called PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) that seemed like it might be a good fit for our needs.

All our jewelry is made from the highest quality stainless steel, then plated with 18k gold. This new, modern way of plating, is ten times thicker than standard gold plating, is environmentally friendly, and uses a vacuum coating process, resulting in an extremely durable finish. 

This means that our jewelry is 100% waterproof so do your daily routine without having to take it off! You can wear your jewelry in the shower, to the gym and at the beach, they will never tarnish!

We recently made the decision to reduce the size of our packaging and only use recycled paper. We care about the environment and want to do our part to protect it. We hope that these changes will not only help reduce waste but also show our customers that we are committed to sustainability.

We believe that every small action can make a big difference, and we are proud to be taking this step to be more environmentally conscious.

What does ATOLEA mean?

As an ocean-inspired brand, we chose the name ATOLEA drawing inspiration from "atoll", a circle of coral that wraps around a calm lagoon, like a secret hideaway in the ocean. It's like a slice of paradise in the middle of the ocean, with crystal clear water and bright white sands.
